SHREVEPORT, La. – Local non-profit, Roy’s Kids, received an early Christmas wish thanks to the kindness of Advanced Cardiovascular Specialists. The non-profit, which provides Christmas gifts and other necessities to families in need, was given $2,000 to support its mission.

Employees donated $1 in exchange for a ticket to join a raffle. Four winners were drawn for various prizes, donated by the physicians. The grand prize winner received money raised by the raffle, $2,000, to donate to the charity of their choice.

Grand prize winner, Casey Jefferson, selected Roy’s Kids because of their mission to help make Christmas more joyful for underprivileged children.

“Christmas can present hardships for families who struggle throughout the year,” said Jefferson. “Roy’s Kids hopes to alleviate those hardships, so children aren’t left out due to financial difficulties. This organization is near to my heart, and I’m so thankful for the doctors, nurses, and staff at ACS who made this possible.”

“Roy’s Kids is an amazing organization that does so much for our community,” said Sandra Germany, Administrator at Advanced Cardiovascular Specialists. “We are so proud of our employees and their heart to make an impact in our local community this Christmas season.”
