What exercise is most effective for preventing heart disease?

One of the simplest and most effective exercises for improving heart health is walking. In fact, the American Heart Association recommends walking at least one mile a day.

This is approximately 30 minutes of walking at least five days a week. It doesn’t have to be completed all at once. You can divide it into shorter sessions, such as three 10-minute walks or two 15-minute walks throughout the day.

The goal is to walk at least one mile each day. Regular walking has been shown to lower several risk factors for heart disease and improve overall heart health.
