How do you recommend maintaining your blood pressure?
Blood pressure is something you should definitely keep an eye on. If you’ve never had any problems with your blood pressure, having it checked during your routine doctor’s visits is usually sufficient.
If your blood pressure starts to increase, it’s a good idea to either purchase a home blood pressure monitor or use one that is available at a pharmacy or another healthcare facility. Check your blood pressure at least once a week for several weeks.
If your readings remain normal, you can return to having your blood pressure checked during your regular doctor’s appointments. If your blood pressure is consistently elevated or borderline high, you should begin checking it daily for a period of time.
If your blood pressure continues to stay high, you should let your doctor know. They may recommend lifestyle changes (such as a healthier diet) or prescribe medication to help bring your blood pressure under control.
