ACS Q&A With Dr. Reeves – Who Is ACS?

One of the common questions I get these days is, “Who do you work for?” I always enjoy answering that question because, in actuality, I work for you: the patient.

There are many hospital systems and many different places where physicians can practice. As a group, we are happy to work with hospitals and other organizations. At the end of the day, we really work for our patients.

We are a private group of physicians. While we answer to one another as a practice, our ultimate responsibility is to the people we care for. If we don’t take great care of our patients and their friends and families, we don’t have a business.

Our ultimate allegiance is to our patients, and the way we measure our success is by the quality of care we provide. If our patients aren’t happy, then we’re not doing our job well.

That isn’t meant as a criticism of other business models. We respect those as well. We simply believe this approach is something unique about our practice, and we’re proud of it. We also believe it helps keep us focused on making decisions that are in the best interest of our patients because, ultimately, they are the ones we answer to.
