ACS Q&A with Dr. Gooszen – What Are The Signs of Heart Disease?
The main sign of heart disease is chest pain. Typically, this occurs during physical activity and is relieved by rest. However, symptoms can also occur while a person is at rest.
Chest pain may radiate into the arms, neck, jaw or back.
In some cases, the symptoms are more subtle. You may notice a decreased ability to exercise or become short of breath more easily. You might also find that you can’t do as much physically as you normally do. These issues can also be signs of heart disease.
