About Dr. Veerareddy
Dr. Srikar Veerareddy is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology and Cardiovascular Disease. Dr. Veerareddy’s practice involves the treatment of complex heart rhythm disturbances using pacemakers, defibrillation and catheter ablation techniques. Dr. Veerareddy has comprehensive training in implantation and troubleshooting of pacemakers, defibrillators and CRT devices (Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy). He performs ablations for ventricular tachycardia, atrial fibrillation, atrial flutters and supraventricular tachycardia. He implants LAA (left atrial appendage) occlude devices (WATCHMAN™) for prevention of stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation and leadless pacemakers.
Dr. Veerareddy also specializes in all aspects of general Cardiology, including the diagnosis and treatment of coronary artery disease, pericardial disease, congestive heart failure and valvular heart disease.
Biography
Dr. Veerareddy attended medical school at Kakatiya Medical College in Warangal, India. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, and his fellowship in Cardiology at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport, LA. Following completion of his cardiology fellowship, Dr. Veerareddy completed a two-year fellowship training in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at the University of Michigan. After employment as an attending physician at Florida Hospital and a practicing Electrophysiologist, he returned to Shreveport, and joined the current practice in 2011. Dr. Veerareddy is a Fellow in the American College of Cardiology and a Fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society.
