ACS Q&A – Meet Dr. Osman: Tell Us About Your Background

Hear from cardiologist Dr. Mohammed Osman with Advanced Cardiovascular Specialists (ACS) in our Q&A series. In this segment, Dr. Osman shares his background, medical training, and what led him to a career in cardiology and vascular care.

My name is Muhammad Osman. I’m one of the interventional cardiologists with Advanced Cardiovascular Specialists. Before joining Advanced Cardiovascular Specialists, I used to work for Mayo Clinic Healthcare System. I worked there for a few years, and I helped build the endovascular and vascular service line in Southwest Wisconsin. I started my training journey back in 2011. I graduated medical school and then joined Michigan State University for training in internal medicine. Following that, I did seek further training in cardiology, and I joined West Virginia University. After that, I developed a lot of interest in treating patients with heart attacks or coronary artery disease. I did seek further training in interventional cardiology at Oregon Health and Science University. During my interventional training, I developed that special interest and passion to treat patients with vascular disease like varicose veins, peripheral artery disease and healing ulcers. That led me to seek further training. I spent one year learning about these patients and how we treat them at Yale University.
